2013 Chinese New Year Party

Teh Lay Kuan, President for Society of Disabled Persons Penang urged the state and federal government to look into the welfare of the disabled actively by increasing the ˇ°OKU affordable housing entitlementˇ±    from    the current 1% to 2% so that it  would  benefit  the

disabled who wish to owe a house of their own. She made the urging during the 2013 Chinese New Year Party organized by the Society of Disabled Person Penang.

YB Phee Boon Poh, Exco member of the Penang state government informed that recently some kind hearted persons have donated to the Penang state government 1200 pieces of hearing aid and 200 pieces of artificial leg respectively. He urged any disabled who needs either the hearing aid or artificial leg to make the application through their state assemblyman or parliament member.

During the party, the representative of Ocean Food Sdn Bhd donated RM 500 as sponsoring fees to Society of Disabled Persons Penang, received by the president of the society, Teh Lay Kuan.
